Objective | Under this project, farmers are being encouraged for multi-cropping (Farming in Rabi season). Various issues for single cropping pattern have been identified by B2V. To resolve those issues, technical institutions, Agriculture Universities, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and government departments are being involved. Vegetable seeds such as Bottle gourd, Chilly, Okra, Brinjal, Bitter Gourd and Cucumber were distributed to beneficiaries for kitchen garden. Good variety of mustard seeds also arranged for farmers. |

Multi-disciplinary team having experience in rural development was formed for the planning. The planned activities were verified by NABARD executives and later it was sanctioned by NABARD head office, Mumbai. |

Expected Outcomes | To encourage the self-study habit of children and community education, back to Village started two Sayaan Swadhyaay Kendra in tribal villages for children from class I to class VI. Qualified teachers from village itself have been selected to guide. Necessary facilities such as seating mats, bulbs, emergency lights, fans and drinking water have been arranged for the classrooms. Teachers are imparted trainings for better handling of centres. Books are also arranged for children by collection and donation. Back to Village get help of their network to arrange funding for the centres.We have received good response from both the centres, around 20-25 children come to the centres regularly for study and clarification of their queries. |

Many of them are interested to adopt organic farming if technical assistance provided to them properly. Farmers were imparted training on liquid manure, composting, organic pesticides, mulching, crop rotation, multi-layer farming etc. |
